Frequently asked questions about Fireplace-TV
What is Fireplace-TV?
We offer high definition video recordings of different hearth fires for download. These are ideal for playback on a computer screen or on connected TV devices. You may also play the videos through streaming clients.
Where can I get the Fireplace-Video?
Just go to our download page an buy the fireplace tv video you like.
How can I get the fire to play as an infinite loop in iTunes?
Create a new playlist and add the hearth fire to this playlist. Change the playback settings to “Loop” (in iTunes the button is in the lower-left corner).
Can the fire imprint itself on my TV screen?
With LCD screens that is impossible. On plasma screens, however, you shouldn’t play the video for longer than 1 hour at a time.
Can I return the video and get a refund if it doesn’t function properly?
We made it possible for everyone to enjoy a hearth fire and we have prepared separate versions for Windows and MacOS. However, should you experience difficulties, we will make a full refund of the price.

Dear Fabio,
you should try to rename Windows Media file from .wmv to .avi or to rename QuickTime file from .m4v to .mp4. Depends which file you bought.
Please let us know if this works for you.

I have a wireless TV. How do I download the video and have it playing on my wireless tv?

@LP: You will need to download it first and then stream from your PC to your TV or you can copy it to an USB stick and play it directly from there.

@Thomas: Most players do support the H.264 (Quicktime) format. We just sent you the download link to that version, you bought the wmv file format. Let us know if it works better this way. Thank you.

@Robert: No, Panasonic does not support standard formats, they support just a proprietary format they use with their digital camcorders.

I have just copied the file to a DVD and am playing it on Blu Ray. The video comes to an end after 10mins and takes the screen back to the main menu. How can I get the film to run on a loop. By the way, my tv and BRay are Internet enabled, if that is easier? Thanks in advance!

Please look for a loop or replay function in your player. It’s called different in every player. Let us know your model if you can not find it. Enjoy the fire.

I watched the 1 minute video, “Fireplace TV – Gas Fire – HD Download available” on YouTube, and clicked on the link to your site on there but when I go to your website I can only find 3 videos on there and none of them are the fire on YouTube.
Is it available?
Regards…

Did you download the MP4 version? You should copy it to an USB-Stick and then the TV should be able to play it.
January 22, 2013 at 2:04 pm
I have a LG 42LM 6200 it has USB port on it,so MP4 is the version I want? and it can be looped? are you planning on doing any other screen savers? ex nature, waterfalls…. Thanks for any info.
January 22, 2013 at 2:39 pm
The MP4 should be best for the LG and most other TVs. Check the manual of the TV of how to loop the video. Probably its called replay or looping. We haven’t yet decided to add other videos.
